Multi-author Book Fest - July 17, 2010


We are hosting a Booksigning Festival on Saturday, July 17, 2010 from 11am to 3pm at Mardel Christian and Educational Supply, 3300 S Boulevard Street, Edmond OK 73013. This event is designed to promote recognition of local authors and introduce the public to the growing genre of inspirational fiction. There will be door prizes for the first fifty attendees and a drawing for a gift basket of books.

Seven Oklahoma authors will be signing books. They are:

Janet Lee Barton – Janet is a bestselling, award-winning author, whose works include thirteen novels and five novellas. She and her husband live in Edmond, OK in a multi-generational household that includes Janet’s daughter, son-in-law, and two granddaughters. She writes historical and contemporary romance.

Margaret Daley – Margaret has published more than 70 books, and won numerous awards, including ACFW’s Book of the Year Award, the Holt Medallion, the Inspirational Readers' Choice Contest, and others. Margaret lives in Tulsa, OK with her husband of over 35 years. She writes both romance and romantic suspense.

Darlene Franklin – Darlene is an award-winning author of ten books. She has also been a contributor numerous non-fiction books. Darlene recently moved to Oklahoma City, OK from Colorado, and enjoys babysitting her granddaughter when she can. She writes historical romance.

Linda Goodnight – Linda is a multi-published author who has won numerous awards, including a RITA, ACFW’s Book of the Year, and others. She lives near Seminole, OK with her husband and daughter on a farm full of animals. She writes contemporary romance.

Myra Johnson – Myra’s debut novel, One Imperfect Christmas, released in 2009 and was quickly followed by two other novels, with a fourth released in 2010. Her writing has won numerous awards, including the prestigious Golden Heart Award. Myra lives in Tulsa, OK with her husband, two dogs and a parakeet. She writes contemporary romance.

Vickie McDonough – Vickie is an award-winning author of 18 books and novellas. Her books have won the Inspirational Reader's Choice Contest, Texas Gold, and the ACFW Noble Theme contest. The Anonymous Bride, book one in her debut trade fiction series the Texas Boardinghouse Brides, released this spring. Vickie and her husband live in Tulsa, OK. Vickie's books promise An Adventure into Romance. She writes contemporary and historical romance.

Carla Stewart – Carla’s debut novel, Chasing Lilacs, is already receiving accolades, including a starred review in Publisher’s Weekly, a review in the Library Journal, and a 4 ½ Stars review in Romantic Times. And the novel doesn’t even release until June 2010! Carla and her husband live in Tulsa, OK. She writes nostalgic women’s fiction.
